No space for MySpace?

After MySpace laid off 500 workers (about half of its remaining staff) earlier this week, reports are surfacing today that News Corp. might sell the social networking site. It obviously has struggled trying to compete with Facebook. Technically, their spokeswoman has said they are looking at “strategic options.” News Corp. bought MySpace in 2005 for $580 million. We wonder what it might sell for today. While we ponder this, here’s an interesting first-hand account of a social media consultant who signed in to her abandoned MySpace account recently and what she thinks they did wrong.
