Tidbits: The Look, tablet ads, Quora questions

Posted on January 13, 2011

In Wilmington, Delaware, two city residents have come together to produce a new paper called The Look. They are hoping the newspaper will show people a more positive light of their city, which has seen violent crime on the rise.

The World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers will focus its 21st conference on how tablet advertising should be on the top of sales reps’ lists of things to propose to clients. We’d love to go to the island of Malta on Feb. 24 and 25 to hear more about this.

Former Facebook employees have launched Quora, a user-based, question-and-answer site. Users have to enter their real Facebook identities to use it. Will this be a more validated Wikipedia-type site or just senseless banter?
