Foursquare expands “Ambassador Program”

Earlier this week, Foursquare, the location-based social media network, unveiled an expansion of its “Ambassador Program.” The program allows users to sign up their favorite venues in the specials platform. Businesses have long been using Foursquare check-ins to promote specials for their patrons and mayors. (“Receive a free drink for your first check-in!”) The expansion of the “Ambassador Program” will enable users to sign up businesses themselves to get more specials in their area. We’ve always been a fan of Foursquare because they are constantly and consistently looking for ways to help businesses engage their customer base. This is just another example.
