Seattle officer: Cops’ paper advocating racial profiling

Did you know the Seattle Police Officer’s Guild has a newspaper? Yep, it’s called The Guardian, but you’ll probably never see a copy. It’s not for sale and it’s not online. It’s written by cops for cops and, recently, it’s gotten some cops upset. In last month’s issue, a Seattle officer wrote an article about how angry he is over the department’s five-year-old program entitled “Perspectives in Profiling.” The officer writes: “The city, using its Race and Social Justice Initiative, continues its assault on traditional and constitutional American values such as self-reliance, equal justice, and individual liberty. But more to our concern, the city is inflicting its socialist policies directly on the Seattle Police Department.”
