Verizon will offer iPhone buyers $30 unlimited data plans

Verizon will offer $30 unlimited data plans to iPhone buyers. This announcement came today ahead of the company’s meeting with investors. Verizon’s chief operating officer, Lowell McAdam, said that not offering an unlimited plan would put up a barrier between the phone carrier and AT&T users who might consider switching to Verizon with the iPhone debut. We love this quote from McAdam: “I’m not going to shoot myself in the foot.” We agree. That might hurt.
