Facebook, Google eye buying Twitter … again

How much are 140-character messages worth to Facebook and Google? The Wall Street Journal reports it might be in the neighborhood of $8 billion to $10 billion. That’s pretty remarkable since Twitter’s value was more around the $45 million mark last year. Facebook and Google have showed interest in acquiring Twitter before and rumor has it that they are showing interest again. The question is, will Twitter be acquired? And what will it mean in 140 characters?
